Mission Complete: LEGOLAND FL Wraps Final Junior Galaxy Explorers Contest at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex!

Imaginations skyrocketed out of this world this past Saturday, when LEGOLAND® Florida Resort hosted the final local stop of its Junior Galaxy Explorers search at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Set at America’s gateway to space, the family-friendly event brought together hands-on LEGO® spacecraft builds, creative problem solving, and STEM-inspired play for aspiring explorers ages 6–12.

Surrounded by real-world rockets and spaceflight history, young builders designed and presented their own original LEGO spacecrafts - constructed either in advance or on-site - as part of an interactive challenge inspired by the February 27th opening of LEGO® Galaxy at LEGOLAND Florida Resort. Each child’s mission came to life as participants shared their builds with a galactic council of judges, including a LEGOLAND Master Model Builder and two-time Space Shuttle Astronaut Winston Scott, transforming the afternoon into a once in a lifetime moment for families in attendance. In addition to the LEGO build challenge, families also engaged with the renowned ‘Postcards to Space’ activation, which invited kids to imagine and share messages inspired by space exploration and the future of STEM.

The Junior Galaxy Explorers search was launched in an effort to find a team of youngexplorers who will be among the first to ride the brand new Galacticoaster when it opens as part of LEGO Galaxy at both LEGOLAND Florida and LEGOLAND California Resorts this year. While the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex marked the final in-person Florida event, families across the country can still join the mission by submitting digital entries through January 31 at [GU1] [GU2] LEGOLAND.com/JuniorExplorers.

Selected Junior Galaxy Explorers will receive an exclusive prize package, including:

A chance to be among the first-ever guests to ride Galacticoaster at LEGOLAND® Florida Resort, opening February 27, 2026

An opening weekend stay at LEGOLAND® Hotel

Annual passes for the winner and their family

          Themed apparel

          A one-of-a-kind commemorative LEGO® build

Entries are being reviewed by LEGOLAND Master Model Builders alongside guest judges at each location, with winners set to be announced by February 5.

Galacticoaster is the leading attraction at LEGO® Galaxy - Merlin Entertainments’ largest investment in LEGOLAND Parks to date. On the first-of-its-kind indoor, space-themed family coaster, riders customize their own spacecraft using interactive touchscreens and RFID wristbands across four build phases - nose, tail, wings, and a special element - creating up to 625 possible ride combinations, ensuring no two missions are ever the same. This new ride is also the first indoor coaster built inside the main Park since LEGOLAND Florida opened in 2011. Beyond Galacticoaster, families visiting LEGO Galaxy can also enjoy an Orbital Outpost with space themed souvenirs and LEGO sets and a dedicated toddler play area designed for imaginative cosmic adventures for tiny astronauts ages 1–4.

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex event marked an out-of-this-world conclusion of the Junior Galaxy Explorers in-person tour across Florida, closing out thestatewide search with an inspiring sendoff rooted in exploration, creativity, and the limitless possibilities of imagination. Guests can learn more about Galacticoaster and what’s coming to LEGOLAND® Florida Resort at https://www.legoland.com/florida/things-to-do/theme-park/2026-news/.

TITANIC MUSEUM ATTRACTION IN PIGEON FORGE INTRODUCES NEW ARTIFACTS, UPDATED DISPLAYS FOR 2026 - Rare Titanic Menus and Personal Artifacts Make Public Debut!

The majesty and the fate of the RMS Titanic continue to enchant and draw guests to the Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. A new display of artifacts including a culinary collection and updated world-exclusive displays are featured throughout the attraction in 2026, including several rare items appearing on public display for the first time and newly featured artifacts within the new Dining gallery!

“Each year, we look for meaningful ways to share new pieces of Titanic history with our guests,” said Cole Deberry, General Manager. “This season allows us to introduce remarkable artifacts that have never been publicly displayed while enhancing several galleries with new stories and perspectives.”

Among the most notable updates for 2026 are new artifact additions within the Dining Gallery, which now features a stronger focus on Titanic’s dining culture, kitchen operations and onboard entertainment.

Guests can view rare original Titanic menus, including examples from the ship’s delivery voyage, sea trials and maiden voyage. Also on display is a menu from the final meal served aboard the Titanic before the ship sank, offering a powerful connection to the last hours of the voyage. These menus are part of the largest collection of authentic Titanic menus ever on public display, providing an unprecedented look at what passengers were served during Titanic’s brief history.

The Dining Gallery also includes newly presented materials honoring Titanic’s musicians, featuring historic photographs and interpretive displays connected to bandleader Wallace Hartley and his fellow band members, whose final performance became one of the most enduring stories of the disaster.

In addition, artifacts and photographs highlighting Titanic’s bakery and kitchen crews have been added to the gallery, including items related to Chief Baker Charles Joughin and images of Titanic’s bakers at work. These displays provide behind-the-scenes insight into how meals were prepared for thousands of passengers and crew across multiple classes.

Additional newly displayed artifacts appear throughout the museum, including personal items connected to passengers, further illustrating the diverse lives aboard Titanic. Several of these artifacts are being shown publicly for the first time, strengthening the museum’s role as a steward of Titanic’s history.

By introducing new artifacts and updating select displays, the Titanic Museum Attraction ensures that returning guests can discover something new with each visit while first-time visitors experience Titanic’s story through one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of authentic artifacts.

DOLLY PARTON’S STAMPEDE Ready To Begin 39th Season of Fun and Adventure!

When Dolly Parton’s Stampede opens for its 39th season on February 6, guests quickly will understand why a trip to this most-visited dinner attraction in the world is unlike any entertainment experience they’ve ever encountered. The Stampede features an exciting combination of equestrian expertise, vibrant music and storytelling, colorful butterflies, comedic escapades and a delicious four-course feast that all come together to make up the unique and entertaining dinner show.  There’s also a cute new animal star whose comedic antics with Skeeter are sure to become an audience favorite. This perennial favorite attraction opens on Friday, February 6 and holds the distinction of being the World’s Most Visited Dinner Attraction.

“When I first dreamed up my Stampede, I wanted it to have delicious food that people could feast on while being swept up in a thrilling, fun and entertaining show – something the whole family could experience together,” Dolly said. “Every time I see the show, I find myself grinning from ear to ear – watching our talented riders and beautiful horses never gets old. And I always get a kick out of the friendly competitions with folks from the audience. But my favorite part? You probably won’t be surprised that it’s the ‘Butterfly Dreams’ segment. Seeing our horses turn into magnificent butterflies is one of my dreams come to life, right there in the arena.”

Dolly Parton’s Stampede isn’t just a dinner show; it’s an unforgettable experience that elevates any outing or special occasion, creating memories for its guests that will be treasured for a lifetime. The Stampede experience begins before the show starts with an opportunity for guests to meet some of the show’s equine stars at the Horse Walk. Next, the much-loved pre-show entertainment is bigger and better than ever, with a variety of bluegrass and country music performed live in the Saloon.

Guests then enter the 35,000 square-foot arena where the main show unfolds. The talented cast leads the show’s 32 elegant and skillful horses through a sequence of extraordinary equestrian feats. A stunning LED backdrop wall creates an immersive experience for guests that is reminiscent of the nation’s Great Plains of yesteryear, where live buffalo, thunderous longhorns and settlers bring the American West alive. Singing, dancing, aerial acts, special effects and extraordinary displays of horse-riding skills transport guests to the American frontier nestled under a starry night sky.

A new four-legged star makes her debut this season, as Buttercup, a Highland cow, joins the cast and gets into some hilarious adventures with Skeeter’s comedic antics.  Skeeter decides that the show needs a magic act, and things go hilariously off course with Buttercup at the center of magic moments that is sure to become a new favorite part of Stampede’s show.  Dolly’s favorite “Butterfly Dreams” segment will continue to soar, taking guests on a visual journey with special effects, costuming and lighting that bring majestic butterflies to life.

Stampede’s delicious four-course feast is the other big star of the show, inviting guests to indulge and delight in the culinary lineup of savory creamy vegetable soup, a buttery biscuit, a whole rotisserie chicken, pulled BBQ pork, buttery corn on the cob and mashed potatoes. The meal concludes with a choice of two specialty desserts – an apple turnover or chocolate coconut cake - and unlimited beverages including Coca-Cola® products, tea and coffee. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free meals available upon request.

New in 2026 - Knott’s Berry Farm to debut Crafty’s Kitchen Summer 2026!

Knott’s Berry Farm, one of Southern California's most popular theme park destinations, will debut a new eatery in the heart of Charleston Circle, right across from the famous fountain, this summer. The venue, currently a Johnny Rockets, will undergo a complete transformation starting April 15, which is just after the conclusion of the popular annual Boysenberry Festival. In addition to a new look and feel, the menu will feature park classics – chicken and boysenberry – in entirely new ways.

“Knott’s Berry Farm guests have long enjoyed the unique and immersive experiences found throughout the park. So, when we looked to reimagine the food and beverage space from its current concept, it made sense to draw upon the legends and characters already here,” said Raffi Kaprelyan. “Crafty’s Kitchen will bring together Knott’s culinary excellence featuring clever chicken dishes and boysenberry, of course, with a continuation of Crafty Coyote’s story.”

Located on Memory Lane, the premier chicken and fries’ destination will have a whimsical backstory revolving around its owner, Crafty Coyote, famed for his pie-thieving days when he pilfered from the next-door Knott’s Beary Factory in the Weird Woods of Knott’s Bear-y Tales ride. Having hung up his outlaw ways, Crafty has reinvented himself, though a hint of mischief still lingers in his quirky culinary concoctions. Guests will be invited to grab a tray and slide down the nostalgic self-service line, where crew members in Crafty Coyote hats will dish out plump, juicy chicken tenders, crispy wings, a take on chicken and biscuits and more, all complemented by a mouthwatering array of sassy pup sauces. Alternative chicken options will also be available to ensure everyone can get a taste of Crafty’s creations, while sides such as fresh-cut fries available plainly salted or loaded, homemade pickles and more will be available to accompany the poultry feast.  And of course, no meal is complete without a sweet finish, so Crafty’s Kitchen will offer boysenberry pie shakes made from pies that will be baked (not stolen!) daily.

As the story goes, Crafty’s Kitchen is the previously shuttered factory cafeteria of the Beary Factory, and Crafty Coyote has decorated his new place with mementos of his villainous days while also showcasing inspiration for his newfound turn at making an honest living. The walls will be lined with playful mug shots, wanted posters, and blueprints for Crafty’s wacky fryer inventions, blending Knott’s Berry Farm nostalgia with a fresh, contemporary vibe. With its fun signage and spirited atmosphere, Crafty’s Kitchen promises a flavorful, mischievous dining experience unlike any other in the park.
