450-FOOT CRANE ARRIVES AT SIX FLAGS GREAT ADVENTURE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF RECORD-BREAKING 2027 ROLLER COASTER!

Construction of Six Flags Great Adventure’s highly anticipated 2027 roller coaster reached a major milestone today with the arrival of a massive construction crane that will ultimately stand 450 feet tall when fully assembled.

The crane's main structure rises approximately 350 feet and will be outfitted with an additional jib, allowing it to reach a total height of approximately 450 feet as crews install some of the attraction's highest track and support components.

The arrival marks the latest visible sign of progress on the park's record-breaking coaster project, currently known as "Project Purple." When completed, the attraction is expected to rank among the five tallest roller coasters in the world and set multiple records.

"The scale of this project continues to come into focus with each new construction milestone," said Ryan Eldredge, Director of Sales & Marketing at Six Flags Great Adventure. "The arrival of the crane represents another exciting step toward bringing this groundbreaking attraction to life and gives guests a sense of just how impressive the finished coaster will be."

Construction has accelerated throughout the spring, with multiple launch sections already installed and track work continuing across the site. The project remains on track for a 2027 debut. Additional details, including the ride's official name and specifications, will be announced at a later date.

America’s #1 Theme Park Calls on Kids to Dream Up Next Big Thing!

 

Silver Dollar City wants America’s kids to help uncover what’s next, launching a free national kids club where big ideas come with a special doorstep delivery, all while inspiring the country’s next generation of builders, creators and craftsmen.

The Mini Miners Crew invites kids ages 5–12 to apply to become members of a special team tasked with sharing ideas for future rides, food and experiences at the park in the Heart of the Ozarks. Selected recruits will receive a custom welcome kit in the mail, complete with an official Mini Miners Crew light-up helmet, personalized membership certificate and club T-shirt.

“For more than 65 years, we’ve been keeping American craftsmanship alive at Silver Dollar City right out in the open where folks can hear the ring of a hammer, see glass shaped in fire and watch something real take form by hand,” said Brandei Clifton, Senior Publicity Manager for Silver Dollar City.

“Those skills are at risk across America. We’re seeing fewer young people step into the trades, and that’s not just a workforce problem; it’s an inspiration problem. Selected recruits will be featured in park content and may have an opportunity to present their concepts directly to park leaders, proving you don’t have to be all grown up to dream up something big.

The program will conclude with a Mini Miners Meetup on August 14 at Silver Dollar City, where the crew will be part of a historic moment at the park.

HURRICANE HARBOR NEW JERSEY TO OPEN FOR THE 2026 SEASON SATURDAY, MAY 30th

Hurricane Harbor New Jersey will officially kick off its 2026 season on Saturday, May 30, as warmer summer weather arrives across the region following an unseasonably cool and rainy Memorial Day Weekend.

The opening also arrives alongside one of the best values of the summer season as guests can enjoy unlimited visits to Six Flags Great Adventure, Hurricane Harbor New Jersey and Wild Safari with a Gold Membership starting at just $8 per month after initial payment. American Eagle to Race for First Time in Nearly 10 Years at Six Flags Great America!
