SeaWorld San Diego is thrilled to announce the return of Sea Lions Tonite, opening March 7, the park’s evening variety-show spectacular that blends pop culture parody and engaging animal education into one unforgettable show.
Inspired by the fast-paced, topical energy of comedy troupes like The Groundlings and Second City, Sea Lions Tonite brings a playful twist to life at SeaWorld. Featuring California sea lions Clyde and Seamore alongside an energetic cast of animal care specialists, the show joyfully comments on everything from trending pop culture moments to SeaWorld’s own presentations and attractions, pulling no punches along the way. A cherished part of SeaWorld San Diego’s history for over 20 years, this returning favorite celebrates the park’s enduring traditions while introducing it with ALL-NEW content for today’s multi‑generational audiences.

While a full format comedy presentation in its own right, SeaWorld reinforces SeaWorld’s commitment to education and animal care during a daytime educational presentation: Flippers, Facts and Fun: The Sea Lion Experience. Through humor and storytelling, guests gain a deeper appreciation for marine mammals and the vital role they play in ocean ecosystems. Audiences will learn about their natural environment, the importance of ocean conservation, and the close bonds formed between the animals and their caretakers. This entertaining educational presentation invites guests to laugh, learn, and celebrate these playful pinnipeds.
