Something big is beginning to rise at Six Flags Great Adventure.
The park’s highly anticipated 2027 roller coaster has officially reached a major construction milestone as the project enters its first phase of vertical assembly — with the first piece now lifted into place and the ride beginning to emerge above the horizon for the first time.
What was once groundwork is now becoming skyline.
Following the recent arrival of track components, crews have begun installing the first sections of track — a defining step where the layout of the ride starts to take shape in real time. Guests visiting the park will now begin to see the scale of this new attraction come to life with each passing day as it starts to define the park’s evolving skyline.
As construction rises on the park’s next major coaster, Six Flags Great Adventure is simultaneously preparing to kick off its 2026 season and a broader transformation across the property.
The park opens to the public March 28, with an exclusive Passholder Preview on March 27 from 5 to 9 p.m. for Season Passholders and Members — offering the first opportunity to experience the new season and see early progress on this landmark attraction.
This momentum continues with the transformation of The Boardwalk, the park’s reimagined take on a classic shorefront escape. Set to debut in late spring, the project will introduce new ride experiences, refreshed dining and additional enhancements, further elevating the guest experience in one of the park’s most dynamic areas.
Opening weekend also marks the debut of the Safari Spring Break Celebration (March 28 – April 12), bringing wildlife-themed entertainment, interactive experiences and family-friendly offerings into the park alongside the return of Safari Off-Road Adventure access from within the theme park.
With a limited-time Spring Sale underway, a Six Flags Season Pass offers the best way for guests to experience it all — from opening weekend through the continued rise of this new attraction. Each visit will bring something new to see, making the 2026 season one guests won’t want to miss.
